I'M A DAD AGAIN!! Week 36!

Right into it this week guys!!

Well, we picked up our new companion on Wednesday morning!! His name is Elder Nelson! He is from Utah like most other missionaries haha. He was originally called to serve in Portugal Portugese speaking, but he is here in Southern jersey for the time being until he gets his Visa to travel there!!

On Wednesday, we started off missionary work right by going in an exchange in Philly!! I had the honor and the pleasure of accompanying Elder Crowther around the big city as we talked to everyone and tried to find Spanish speaking people! This exchange was so fun, and I learned so so much in my studies!

On Thursday we woke up and played basketball. I accidentally broke the hoop by dunking it from a little behind the free-throw line. It was pretty gnarly (totally kidding I didn’t break it… but I did dunk it.) We then did some other studies and then headed to good old Vineland! We unloaded all of Elder Nelson,s stuff, helped him unpack a little, and then immediately jumped into weekly planning and some language studies!

On Friday, we had a couple of great lessons, including one in Atlantic City! We watched the new Book of Mormon videos! They are so amazing I am loving Friday night movie night hahaha! Here is a link to them if you haven’t seen them: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCm5q_daua2JdizO_fo-wZlw

On Saturday, WE HAD THE BAPTISM OF MARILÚZ!! It was amazing! It took about 18 tries to get her all the way under the water (maybe more) but she was baptized and came up with a big smile on her face. We had a lot of members of the Branch there to support her, and we even had Rosalino (one of our friends) come to the baptism!!

Sunday was a really great day! José Luis Jimenez received the aaronic priesthood, along with his 12 year old son Emanuel! Marilúz also was confirmed and received the gift of the Holy Ghost!

I am so honored to be a servant of the Lord Jesus Christ and to have this opportunity to train two of his young servants. I feel very trusted and I am trying my very best to help these missionaries develop good habits and develop spiritually!

I love you all so much! Because we have to share the computer between 3 different Elders, I have even less time than before! So please ask me any additional questions if you would like extra information! Also be sure to check out ElderPetty.com.
