Week 1

1 Week one is done! I arrived to the MTC Wednesday and it was constant from the beginning. I met my companion Elder Brown and he’s awesome! I also met my district and I am proud to say that almost every single one of us brought our basketball shoes!

My district is Me, Elder brown, Elder Davis, Elder Berlin, Elder Lovell, Elder Oren, Sister Ward, and Sister Cox. I love this district and oh my gosh we have so much fun when we are together.

Anyways Thursday started bright and early 6:30 am and it was crazy. My entire district supports each other and we all try to do everything together. Every minute at the MTC is planned for you though, and there is hardly any free time for us. There are four beds in my room, but it is only Elder Brown and I are in there! So we get double the drawers and space! After waking up and preparing for the day we went to breakfast (which was amazing,) and then immediately after that we had language and spiritual classes teaching us as much as they can. Around 6PM we had a branch meeting, and we got to meet the other district in our branch! They went over so much and told us all the things we need to do and read before Sunday. It is honestly like trying to drink water from a waterhose.. there is just so much input and it’s hard to remember it all. Our Distric Leader was also assigned, which is elder Berlin! He’s so funny and a lot of times our district has a hard time not laughing during classes. Me and my companion are studying hard though and persevering! We are doing our best to remember the vocab and continue to improve! Thursday night district 23 got to pick up THE MINIFRIDGE and now we are officially the coolest district on the face of the planet! Elder Lovell has diabetes and so he gets a minifridge for keeping fruit. We put it in the shared living room and all put some snacks in there.

Friday morning again started early, and It was the same thing over: Plan your day, breakfast, classes, lunch, classes, dinner, and then either a branch meeting or language classes. Okay but honestly the truth is the food is so so good! I’ve had donuts, soups, chichen, eggs and sausage, fish and chips, Koo Koos (some Arabian rice thing,) and also some amazing steak. Friday night we had a 3 hour language class! Our teachers expect us to memorize about ten phrases a day and to know what they mean. Hearing spanish for the entire 3 hour class was so long and again, we were having a hard time not laughing during it. Our teacher definitely was mad at us but no matter what we do.. if one of us hears a snicker we all bust up laughing. I am picking up my mail today and looking forward to my package from my family.

I love you all so much! I am having a great time here at the MTC and trying my very hardest. I am allowed to read emails any day, but I can only respond on P Day. Please know that I have read your emails the day you send them, and I appreciate them very much. I have received many many blessing since I have been here and I miss you all dearly. I am loving developing my testimony and I hope to respond to your emails throughout the day. I love you all and I have a testimony that Jesus Christ Lived and is Our savior. I also have a testimony that even Heavenly Father has a since of humor. I love you all and will talk to you soon!
